This cozy duplex in Garrison, once a part of the military barracks, had huge potential… if only that wall dividing the tiny kitchen and living space could disappear! Luckily these homeowners where all in for a BIG change, so we got a structural engineer and a metal beam to transform this whole main floor. Removing this wall allowed for a much more functional kitchen, including an amazing island for entertaining and a cozy corner dining table that can extend when needed.
In order to create a seamless perimeter in the kitchen, we reduced the size of the window in the old dining area. Between the recessed lighting and the light filtering in from the backyard, this home is bright and flows like a boss!
